Lessons From A Precious Saint
*Special note about the author*
Lessons From A Precious Saint, is a true story that was written
by the pastor of our church, for his website, about my Mother-in-law Margie (to whom which this website is
dedicated to).

Everyone should have a Margie in their life. Margie
is a member of my church where I pastor. Ever since I've known her, she has been an encourager. She won't badmouth
anyone. She won't be negative. She never complains. She loves her family. She loves her church.

For as long as I've known her, she has sought to do minstry.
At one time, she was leading out in a handcraft group and a weight loss group for the women in our church. At the same
time, she was doing a ministry at a local nursing home and attending a home bible study.

A few months ago, Margie found out that she had cancer.
Two rounds of chemotherapy have gone by and the tumor (located near her pancreas) has not been affected. Soon, she will
head to a cancer hospital in Houston for clinical trials. Anyone else would be ready to give up. Anyone else would
be questioning God. Not Margie. Twice she has stood up in the pulpit at our church and proclaimed the greatness
of God. Twice she has quoted Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you. Plans of good and not of evil... to
give you a hope and a future."

I whine too much. I whine about paying bills. Car
troubles. My TV show being preempted for a stupid baseball game. But Margie is confronted with much more
than that and she praises Jesus. What a lesson for me. What a lesson for you!
